At Africa FlashMC Tours, we curate incredible journeys into Volcanoes National Park Rwanda, a lush sanctuary of misty mountains and ancient rainforest that lies in the northwest of the country. Bordering Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, this iconic park forms part of the Virunga Massif, and is home to some of the last remaining mountain gorillas on Earth.
Spanning around 160 square kilometres (62 square miles), Volcanoes National Park is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and unique wildlife encounters, including the rare golden monkey. Whether you’re here for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda, guided nature walks, or to pay tribute at Dian Fossey’s tomb, our tailor-made safaris are crafted to keep you engaged in this remarkable ecosystem.
The weather in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda is cool and damp due to the high altitude. Daytime temperatures average between 15°C and 22°C (59°F – 72°F). Rain is common, particularly from March to May and again in October and November, so waterproof gear is essential. The dry seasons, from June to September and December to February, are ideal for gorilla tracking and other hikes.
