Nairobi - Meru National Park Your Kenyan safari begins in the nation’s capital, Nairobi. You will be collected from your hotel, residence, or the international airport from where your journey into the wilderness will begin. Your trip begins in the southern hemisphere, so as you track north you are invited to take a moment to mark the crossing of the equator at Ogutu. After your opportune photoshoot, you will arrive in Meru and at your accommodation in time for lunch to be served. You will have time to settle into your room and get to know the facilities and drink in the views that surround you. The afternoon will see you embark on your first game drive through the park, giving you your first chance to see the wonderful creatures that populate the parklands. Sunset out on the plains is a truly stunning site and the perfect end to your first day on safari. Upon returning to your chosen camp or lodge, you will be given dinner, followed by time to rest and relax in the safari atmosphere and listen to the sounds of the night across the park.
