## Tour facts

- Duration: 4 days
- Nights: 3
- From: USD 1,070

## Itinerary

### 1. Arrival Airport – Transfer to Hotel

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha has a temperate climate. Overnight in Arusha Accommodation at your Hotel Lunch and dinner included Drinking water, other drinks are extra

### 2. Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 07:30 am from the hotel and driven on a tarmac road for 120km to Tarangire National Park (2,850 sq km or 1,005 sq miles). The visit will start with a game drive, followed by a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, there will be more game viewing in the park, which is home to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, python, zebra, oryx, impala and more. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. The swamps, tinged green all year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, the highest number of breeding species in one habitat anywhere in the world. On drier ground, you will find the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird; the stocking-thigh ostrich, the world’s largest bird; and small parties of ground hornbills blustering like turkeys. More ardent bird-lovers might keep an eye open for screeching flocks of the dazzling yellow-collared lovebird, the somewhat drabber rufous-tailed weaver, and the ashy starling – all endemic to the dry savannah. Overnight in Tarangire National Park Accommodation at your camp or lodge Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Drinking water, other drinks are extra

### 3. Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, depart for a short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a half-day game drive in the crater itself. This is undoubtedly the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino, as well as the magnificent, rare black-maned lion. Other game that you may see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. There are lots of colourful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Overnight in Ngorongoro Conservation Area Accommodation at your camp or lodge Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Drinking water, other drinks are extra

### 4. Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Lake Manyara - Arusha

After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you head to Lake Manyara. This is one of Tanzania’s smallest national parks, covering an area of 330 km2, 200 km2 of which is lake. Lake Manyara is a paradise for large herds of elephants and buffaloes, troops of baboons, and the more than 400 bird species registered there. You might also be lucky enough to spot the famous tree-climbing lions here. After this final Tanzanian experience, you will be driven back to your hotel in Arusha or the airport for your flight to your next destination. No accommodation included Breakfast and lunch included, but not dinner Drinking water, other drinks are extra
