### 1. Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve by Plane

Your adventure starts with a briefing from your guide before we pick you up in Nairobi early in the morning and transfer you to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the iconic Masai Mara. Upon arrival, your safari experience begins immediately with a short game drive en route to your accommodation within the Masai Mara Game Reserve. After checking in and settling down, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out on your first official game drive across the vast African plains. The first wildlife safari experience will offer chances to see the animals you’ve dreamed about: Lions Elephants Wildebeest Leopards Rhino Many more animals await your discovery as you embark on your African safari proper. ### 2. Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Your first full day out in the wilds of Africa starts with a game drive after breakfast. The Masai Mara is home to over three million mammals, meaning your chances of spotting the animals you’ve travelled so far to see is high. The plains are filled with herds of buffalo and zebra, and a visit between June and October should enable you to bear witness to the legendary migrations across the grasslands. Lunch will be served in the park, next to the Mara river, affording you the maximum time venturing through the landscape and chance to encounter the stunning creatures that live here. Following lunch, you can take the opportunity to partake in the optional activity of visiting a Masai village. The people who have called the Masai Mara home since time immemorial have developed a special, almost symbiotic relationship with the land and creatures of the area. They will greet you with a traditional song and dance, and allow you chance to walk around the village, learn of their culture, and visit one of their homes. ### 3. Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Nakuru National

Rise early and take a game drive through the Masai Mara as dawn breaks. The creatures of the night will be finishing their nocturnal activities whilst the diurnal animals will be starting their day. Listening to the dawn chorus is an opportunity not to be missed, and the sunlight breaking over the horizon is perfect for photographing the inhabitants of this most enchanting of landscapes. Returning to your accommodation, you will be given breakfast and then set out on your journey through the Great African Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru is the destination, and the journey is as beautiful as the final call; the volcanic landscape is punctured with ancient rock formations and dormant peaks. When you reach your accommodation within the national park, you will be given lunch and taken out on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is a dream come true for ornithologists and bird lovers in general; there are over four hundred avian species that flock to the massive body of water. ### 4. Lake Nakuru - Amboseli National Park

Another early start will give you chance to watch life spring into the lake as another day in the African savanna begins. Birds flock early in the morning, and the herbivores of the park will be hoping to drink and graze before the predators arrive, luck will see you spotting: Waterbucks Impala Rhinos Buffalos Breakfast will be taken back at your accommodation, from where you will depart towards Amboseli National Park. The journey, once again, will be stunning with backdrops of mountains and valleys along with local villages that have sprung up along the roads. This is your chance to get to know the landscape of Kenya as you wind your way through the majesty of the Great African Rift Valley. Lunch will be taken at a stop along the way, and you will arrive at Amboseli with a short game drive as you make your way to your camp or lodge. Looming large over the park is Kilimanjaro; sightings upon arrival will whet your appetite for the mountain views that will accompany your next day on safari in Africa. ### 5. Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spending the whole day inside the park will mean you can get deep into the territory of the big five of African safari: Lions Leopards Buffalo Elephants With high chances to see them, along with the other creatures that are so vividly connected with Africa in your mind’s eye. Breakfast will be served and you will head out into the park, with the majesty of Mount Kilimanjaro forming the horizon of your day. Ensuring you can spend as much time as possible surrounded by the animals you’ve travelled so far to see; lunch will come picnic style in the heart of Amboseli. Following this, a second chance to visit a village of the Masai people is offered. As an optional extra, there is a fee of $20 per person, which means you will be welcomed with a traditional song and dance, and shown around the village so as to garner insight into their way of life and culture. One final, early morning start should offer you a stunning view of the peak of the highest mountain in Africa – Kilimanjaro – before the clouds roll in for the day. With the perfect morning over, you will return to your accommodation to take breakfast and transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi.
