Day 1 Arrival & Transfer to Nairobi Hotel
Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the Serena Hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Enjoying a location on the edge of Central Park and the city centre, there are 187 rooms all with excellent modern facilities. Shaded by the glorious jacaranda, bougainvillea and acacia trees and surrounded by lush manicured gardens, the hotel provides a peaceful and luxurious retreat to travellers, business people and famous dignitaries in a bustling city. Day 2 Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park
Following an early breakfast you will be transferred to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli (approximately 45 minutes). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the lodge in time for lunch. After an afternoon siesta, there is a game drive that returns to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge on a full board basis.
Amboseli Serena Lodge
Lying in the shadow of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena is surrounded by a thick forest of acacia trees and exquisite gardens.
Brightly decorated in an African motif, the lodge’s 96 comfortable rooms emulate the architecture of a Maasai village with its manyattas or homes. In the late afternoons and evenings, relax on the beautiful lounge terrace adorned by gardens, pool and paths. From here, watch the nightly ritual of wildebeest, antelope, elephant and other animals coming into graze.
Day 3 Amboseli National Park
We will set off for another extensive game drive, and bask under the sun while taking in the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, from Wildebeest to Giraffes and Baboons among many others.
Day 4 Amboseli National Park – Fly to Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to the airport for the early morning scheduled flight to Nairobi (approximately 45 minutes) to connect with the flight to Samburu (approximately 1hr 20 minutes). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to camp. Following lunch and an afternoon siesta, there is a game drive that returns to the lodge as the sun sets.
Sarova Shaba Lodge
Located in the centre of Samburu, the lodge overlooks the muddy waters and sandbanks of the Uaso Nyiro River, where pods of hippo and massive crocodiles congregate. The rooms are beautifully appointed with all mod-cons and have private verandas overlooking the river. There is also a swimming pool, beauty therapy and massages available. Fascinating slide shows, lectures and tribal dancing is performed nightly, as well as crocodile feeding. The surrounding terrain is extremely scenic with acacia woodlands, ravines and open grasslands, as well as some volcanic rock cones and craggy hills. Favourite spots generally include long-necked gerunuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa oryx, whilst leopard are frequent visitors to the lodge.
Day 5 Samburu National Reserve
Shared early morning, morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 6 Samburu National Reserve – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early morning game drive you are transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 1hr and 45 minutes). On arrival you are transferred to the Mara Serena Lodge for lunch. Following lunch and an afternoon siesta, there is a game drive that returns to the lodge as the sun sets.
Mara Serena Lodge
A masterful interpretation of a traditional Masai village, Mara Serena Lodge seemingly floats on a sea of savannah. A beautiful pool looks out over the wide plains. The rooms are Masai-influenced in style yet extremely comfortable. The main dining room, where delicious meals are served, has three large domes and three small ones depicting Maasai manyattas (villages). Occasionally an African al fresco barbecue is served by the pool overlooking the Mara plains. Fresh fruit juices and cocktails, wines, spirits or liqueurs are available at the bar until late in the evening. At Serena, the views are stunning. It is on this very terrain, stretching endlessly before the lodge, that the annual migrations take place. Millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle pass through on their way to and from their alternative feeding grounds in Tanzania.
Day 7 Masai Mara National Reserve
A full day spent viewing the great predators and explore the parks with an amazingly high concentration of wild animals. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.
Day 8 Masai Mara National Reserve – Fly to Nairobi
Following an early morning activity and breakfast, you will catch the scheduled flight to Nairobi, (approximately 1 hr) and be transferred to JKI Airport or Nairobi City Centre for your onward arrangements.
