Day 1 Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve(230 km: 4-5 hrs)
This morning we shall pick you up from the airport or your residence at 07:30 am and drive through the view point of the Great Rift Valley to the Kenya Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive.
The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of Kenya and the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. The wild animals found in the Park’s are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.
Day 2 Full day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve
Full day spent for viewing the great predators and explore the parks amazingly high concentration of wild animals. Kenya plains are enormous with herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During the stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure of Kenya is a poignant experience.
Day 3 Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park(196 km: 5 hrs)
Early morning game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast and depart for lake Nakuru National park located in the Great Rift Valley. The park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lake shores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renowned and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. This park in kenya is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. On arrival at Lake Nakuru, check in at your hotel for the evening.
Day 4 Lake Nakuru – Amboseli(384.1 km: 6-7 hrs)
Early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, after which we shall return to our resort for full breakfast and then depart for Amboseli National Park arriving in the afternoon. Lunch is provided en route.
Day 5 Full Day exploring Amboseli National Park
Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another extensive game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest, Giraffes, Baboons.
Day 6 Amboseli NP Arusha & Transfer to Hotel
Proceed for an the morning game drive in Amboseli, Kenya, after which we shall transfer you to Arusha, Tanzania. Meet by our Safari Driver and drive to Arusha Crown Hotel where you are booked for the night with bed and breakfast.
Day 7 Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park(130km – 2 hours)
Breakfast at 0700am. Pick up from Arusha Crown Hotel at 0900am and drive on tarmac road 130km with lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km or 127 sq mile’s) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives.
Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. In this park canoeing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This is a great way to see the park from a new perspective. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Twiga campsite.
Day 8 Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti National Park(205km – 5 hours)
Breakfast at around 0700am. Pick up from the Camp at 0800am and drive to the Great Serengeti National Park (14,763 sq km or 5,700 sq mile’s) with your Picnic Lunch Packed and game drives en route via Ngorongoro Crater rim. Serengeti National Park is probably the best park in tanzania and home to lions, leopards, Elephants, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Lot of birds includes the Eurasia migrants. Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.
Day 9 Full Day Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, continue with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti national Park, Tanzania. Serengeti famous for the ‘Great Migration’, over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds then make their return journey. Even without this mass migration, the Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that still cannot fail to enthrall. Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.
Day 10 Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater Rim(145km – 3 hours)
Wake up at 0600 hours for early morning game drives in Serengeti at 0900 hours back to the Camp for breakfast. Then check out and drive with lunch and game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim.OPTION: Visit the Olduvai Gorge at extra fee for the museum. Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Simba “A” Campsite.
Day 11 Ngorongoro Crater Floor/Arusha(190km – 3 hours)
Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 0730 hours drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for game drives.
Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’, the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree lined walls drop thousands of feet to a “Noah’s Ark” of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs and the large soda lake. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun.
At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time. After lunch proceed with fame viewing while ascending the Crater and drive to Arusha Crown Hotel where you booked for the night bed and breakfast basis/or Drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
