Lake Manyara Safari Tours

Lake Manyara Safari Tours by Africa Flash McTours

100 years ago the Lake Manyara region was the domain of sport hunters. After World War II that began to change and in 1957 a reserve was created here to protect local wildlife instead of hunting it down. That reserve became Lake Manyara National Park in 1960 and today it is one of the jewels of Tanzania.

On our Lake Manyara Safari Tours, you will explore this untamed landscape and mingle with its inhabitants including elephants, gazelles, impala, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, hyenas and many more.

Lake Manyara Safari Tours

Lake Manyara lies just to the east of the rocky escarpment of the Rift Valley. Although the lake is very shallow it plays an essential role in sustaining the abundant wildlife. Our Lake Manyara Safari Tours include:

  1. Wilds of Kenya and Tanzania Safari – This 9-day safari does a complete circuit of some of the most compelling national parks in both Kenya and Tanzania including the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Parks. An unforgettable journey.
  2. Tanzania’s Plains to Pristine Beaches Safari – On this 11-day odyssey you will start in Arusha and visit Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Parks. You will then drive back to Arusha and fly on to Zanzibar where you’ll spend 4 days drinking up the splendour of the Indian Ocean coast.
  3. Craters and Lakes of Tanzania Safari – East Africa might seem an unlikely place for volcanoes but the Great Rift Valley is evidence of copious geological activity. Hence, the area is dotted with ancient craters including Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Expect to see wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, buffalo and more.
  4. Plains of Tanzania Safari – During this 4-day safari tour, you will visit the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park. Expect to see elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, buffalos, flamingoes and hundreds of other kinds of mammals and birds.
