Aberdares is located in the highlands of Kenya and the climate can get chilly, we recommend you pack warm clothes so that you can spend a long evening spotting wildlife out on the decks. Departing early from Nairobi, we will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or the airport depending on your needs. Your journey will take you through the coffee and tea plantations of the Kenyan Highlands, showing you a side of Kenya that is less known yet no less beautiful.
Upon arrival at your accommodation at Treetops Lodge, you will be served lunch and immediately given the opportunity to start viewing the animals from the decks. The fresh perspective that your platform above the watering hole gives means you can get a fuller picture of life on the plains.
Your dinner will also be served at Treetops Lodge and you are able to spend time well into the evening watching nature unfold below. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah’s Ark, The Ark comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen.
The Aberdare Country Club, only a two and a half hour drive northeast from Nairobi, is nestled on a slope of Mweiga Hill in the Aberdare Highlands, part of the Great Rift Valley. This captivating site was the homestead of an English couple that decided to settle in Kenya.

Wake up early to watch the dawn over the park from your majestic vantage point in the trees. The dawn chorus in the wilderness of the African plains is an experience to behold. Animals begin to stir for the day, making mating calls and finding their packs, defining their territory and stretching their lungs.
After a wonderful morning witnessing day break from your balcony, you will be given breakfast at your accommodation and then driven back to Nairobi. Lunch will be a stop during the journey that will once again see you pass through the refreshing plantation landscape of the north of Kenya.
