1 night Ol Pejeta Conservancy
(204 km – 3 to 4 hours)
We will pick you up from your hotel and depart on a northern heading. The landscape soon switches from city to a countryside filled with tea and coffee estates; picturesque and quaint scenery of this important local trade.
You’ll arrive at Sweetwaters camp, take lunch and then head out into this special park. Being the largest sanctuary for rhinos in Africa, chances of spotting them is high. You can also visit the Jane Goodall chimpanzee sanctuary, the only place in Kenya you can see our closest animal cousins.

After your afternoon exploring the wildlife in the park you will return to Sweetwaters Tented Camp to enjoy your evening meal. Included in this day of your Kenyan safari is:

These spacious tents combine the traditional ambiance of a safari camp with the comforts of home. They offer either a king bed or two twin beds and views of the water hole; amenities include a bathroom with a one-hand washbasin, a WC and a shower with a shower curtain.

Rise early for a game drive through the conservancy. A pre-dawn start will give you a unique perspective on the daily rhythm of the park; nocturnal animals finish their evening’s hunting and the animals of the day awake with a dawn chorus for you to listen to.
Returning to Sweetwaters Camp for breakfast will be followed by a drive through Mount Kenya Safari club and yet more chances to see the big five of African safari: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhino. After lunch your journey will take you south and back to Nairobi, with options of hotel, residence, or airport drop of within the city.
