Lake Nakuru is one of the great lakes of the Great African Rift Valley and is home to flocks of flamingo, as well as over four hundred other bird species. Your Kenyan safari guide will help you to spot and identify some of the most stunning avian species Africa has to offer.

Your pick-up will be early in the morning from Nairobi, with a briefing from your guide before departing for a drive through the Great African Rift Valley. There are opportunities to take photographs across the stunning vistas and breath-taking landscapes, such as the Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot, throughout the trip.
Following a stop for lunch in the heart of the valley in Narok town, you’ll arrive at your accommodation inside Masai Mara Game Reserve. After a short break to settle in, you’ll get stuck into the safari tour with your first game drive through the Serengeti. Dinner will be served as you spend your first night inside the park.

A picnic style lunch is served on the banks of the Mara River, and if you’re visiting in the right season, you may just get to witness the iconic migrations of the Serengeti.
You are also provided the option of visiting a village of Masai Mara warriors. The culture of these nomads is known the world over, their courage in battle with wild animals is stuff of legend. Your visit will include a traditional welcome of singing and dancing and you will be invited to learn some of the culture and visit a home in the village. An extra fee of US$20 per person is applied for this activity.

A morning game drive comes after breakfast at your accommodation, forming part of the journey you will make to Lake Nakuru, giving you time to bid farewell to the beauty of the Masai Mara. Another picnic lunch will be served during your journey through the landscapes of Kenya, with chances to capture the scenery with your camera along the way also.
Early evening arrival at Lake Nakuru gives chance for dinner to be served and for you to understand the mega-fauna and exotic birds that will be on display the following morning.

The Flamingo Hill Camp is situated within the famous Lake Nakuru National Park, which lies within the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. Approximately 30 minutes by air or 2 hours by road from Nairobi.
The Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in the South Eastern, ecological niche of the Lake Nakuru National Park. It is an oasis of comfort and excellent service with commanding views of the lesser Flamingo interspersed with the Greater Flamingo for which the Lake Nakuru is world famous.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park.
