We then proceed to Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy the marvellous game viewing on the crater floor, which contains an unparalleled concentration of animals and bird species.
During the safari, you may choose either a visit to a Maasai village to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals or a short visit to the renowned Olduvai Gorge, which some believe to be the cradle of mankind.
2 nights Serengeti 1 night Ngorongoro
(335 km – 5 to 6 hours)
After breakfast, we will pick you up from a hotel in Arusha and drive to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing en route.
This is about an 8-hour drive. The rest of the afternoon will be spent on a game drive in the Seronera area of the Serengeti.
The Serengeti is divided into three main areas. The Seronera is the most central and accessible region, and this is where the Park Headquarters are based, as well as most of the larger lodges and busier campsites. This is the part of the Serengeti that you will have seen in wildlife documentaries, characterized by open plains packed with animals. The Seronera River is the lifeblood of the Serengeti, and this area is renowned for great game viewing all year round. It is particularly good for lion and cheetah sightings, as well as glimpses of the most elusive of all the big cats, the leopard. After a long days’ driving, you will be taken to your camp/lodge for dinner.

Acacia Central Camp, as the name suggests, is situated in the central part of Serengeti which is fondly called Seronera. This is a very scenic area with open plains and lined up with hills. The resident game here is phenomenal, with high densities of relaxed leopards, cheetah, and lion.

This day will be spent exploring Serengeti National Park, with picnic lunches provided.
This park is the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti.In May or early June, the huge herds begin migrating northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs, with vultures circling overhead.
The Serengeti National Park is arguably the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen here, including the Big Five – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. Other common species found here include hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons and monkeys. There is a profusion of over 500 species of birds, including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl.
In the evening, we return to your camp or lodge for dinner.

After an early wake-up call and a cup of tea or coffee, we proceed for an early-morning game drive, with an optional balloon safari. At 09:00 am, we return to the camp for a full English breakfast, before checking out with our picnic lunch.
There will be an early afternoon game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which we will reach in the late afternoon.We will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge located on the slopes of the crater rim.
Optional: Visit the Olduvai Gorge at an extra fee for the museum.

After an early breakfast, we will check out and descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for an exploratory tour. A picnic lunch will be served in the crater next to the hippo pool, where you will be able to stretch your legs and visit the washrooms.
The Ngorongoro Crater is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms part of an international biosphere reserve. The crater measures approximately 300 sq km and is about 19 km across. The floor of the crater is 600 meters below the rim and is home to an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, lion, cheetah, buffalo, elephants and a plethora of antelope species. Late in the afternoon, we will ascend the crater and proceed to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the hotel of your choice or the airport for your flight to your next destination.
