Our Safari Guides

The whole African safari experience depends greatly on the competence of the guide. It is through their knowledge and engaging character that will make one’s safari experience a memorable and educational one. Hence, we put great value in ensuring that all our guides are up-to-date with flora and fauna information, respectful with our guests, and puts premium in overall customer service. All our guides have years of experienced with professional training in the tourism industry.

In-charge of driving the safari vehicle made especially for game viewing. All our guides are well-trained in tracking wildlife.

Provide information about each parks visited, animals spotted, and all other educational and interesting information about African wildlife in general. Our guides also have an intensive knowledge of the local African flora and fauna, geography and animal behavior patterns.

PETER MACHARIA Managing Director

As the founder of Africa Flash McTours & Travel, his goal is to make sure that all clients receive the best service to their satisfaction and have a memorable experience. Peter is very hands on and makes it a point to meet his clients to personally welcome them to Kenya! Having lived and grown up around Masai Mara and in the rich forests of the Kenyan highlands, he has a close-tie to wildlife and the local people. He’s married with 2 young kids who love going on safari. Having travelled extensively throughout East Africa, Peter remains passionate about Kenya and Tanzania, his love of which is fed by his many fantastic wildlife experiences on Safari.

ANTHONY KIMONDO Safari Guide

Anthony makes every safari holiday worthwhile with his witty remarks and impressive knowledge of the wild. He makes every trip extra special by sharing insider’s tip of what to do in Kenya. Anthony’s career inspiration was to be a major player in the field of wildlife and tourism management. He has a certificate in Tour guiding from the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association and has studied wildlife and tourism, natural history, animal behavior, culture and history, communications and first aid. Anthony has been working in the field since 2008 and joined Flash McTours & Travel in 2015 where he is a full time guide.

Simon-Kinyumu

SIMON KINYUMU Safari Guide

Simon was born to be a guide having traveled extensively, which puts him a notch higher when it comes to guiding. He ultimately finds himself drawn to adventure safaris. Simon has attended a number seminars and workshops in hospitality and tourism management. Simon joined Flash McTours & Travel in 2012, a few years after its inception in 20o9. He holds a Bronze Medal from Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association and really enjoys bird watching, natural and wildlife history. His favorite experience in the wild is during the wildebeest migration in Masai Mara.

EDWARD MATHU Safari Guide

Edward is a great guide with the ability to spot wildlife and different bird species. Regular positive reviews from clients attest to his commitment. Edward is passionate about what he does as he enjoys guest interaction, and feels that he also learns so much from everyone he meets. His love for the outdoors is reflected in his actions when he takes guests on game drives for various sightings. His incredible knowledge of the flora and fauna of nature, and diverse facts on various subjects makes him a unique “teacher” in wildlife and conservation.

He is sociable and has a vast knowledge of wildlife having grown up in Mt. Kenya region, surrounded by wildlife, and decided to have a career as a professional safari guide showing visitors the natural wonders of the place that he calls home. Safari guiding is not just a job for him but a personal passion as well. His favorite animal is the cheetah because it can run faster than any other animal on earth and it feeds only on freshly killed meat. He joined Flash McTours as a guide in 2014 and has been with us for the past 4 years as a full time guide.
