Ikweta Safari Camp

iKWETA Safari Camp opened for business in November 2011 and has been selected for the Certificate of Excellence, for the last five years in a row – 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 – reflecting the consistently great reviews we’ve earned on TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site. We are by choice a small intimate safari camp offering personalized service. Our Camp comprises 10 spacious Guest Tents, tastefully decorated in safari-style with high quality furnishings.

Each guest tent is designed with a separate bathroom en-suite, with modern shower and toilet, and a private verandah. All tents face East for guests to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over Meru National Park from the comfort of their beds. Night time is also beautiful for gazing at the stars – and sometimes even a shooting star. iKWETA Safari Camp is a convenient base for exploring the Mt. Kenya Region, including the complete wilderness of Meru National Park, one of Kenya’s most beautiful and truly pristine national parks and the land of the “Big-Five” – elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard. With over 400 bird species reported, the park is also a birdwatchers’ paradise.
