2 nights Amboseli
(250 km – 4 to 5 hours)
Pick up from Nairobi is at 7.30 am, where we’ll take you on a drive through typical African savanna. You’ll pass local homesteads and catch glimpses of Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle. You’ll arrive at Amboseli National Park in time for lunch.
After you’ve had time to rest, we’ll take you into the park for your first African safari experience. On your game viewing drive, we’ll be on the look out for the stars of the Amboseli – elephants, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and a whole load more.
The backdrop to your Kenyan adventure is Mount Kilimanjaro, its snow-capped peak dominates the skyline as Africa’s highest mountain. Marvel at the natural beauty of the awe-inspiring plains, home to a massively diverse ecosystem of animals.
Following your first adventure into the Kenyan wilds, you’ll head back to your camp for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Kibo Safari Camp is located at Amboseli National Park. All tents have flushing toilets, showers, and wash basins. You can enjoy your shower as you like: bubbling hot or refreshing cold.
Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the best spots in the world to watch elephant with the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Writers have described Ol Tukai and the surrounding Amboseli National Park ‘as a home for the Gods’.
Tortilis Camp is widely regarded as the prime location for witnessing the majesty of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Tortilis Camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree that surrounds the camp, the Acacia Tortilis.
Tawi Lodge is located inside Amboseli National Park. The lodge is hidden in the middle of indigenous trees, plants and garden all contributing to its oasis feel.
The second day on safari in Kenya starts with an extensive game drive. The vista of Kilimanjaro will be with you as your range through Amboseli, expertly guided by our African safari guides.
As on your first day, the mega fauna of the national park will be on display. With luck you’ll see herds of buffalo, families of elephants, prides of lions, and much more besides.
You can choose to take an optional extra visit to a Masai village. These warriors are part of a proud nomadic tradition that you are invited to learn about in their village. The tribes people of the Masai are renowned for their prowess in battle against wild animals; their strength and courage admired around the world.
Your visit will show you the Masai culture, with a welcoming presentation of traditional signing and dancing; part of their sacred rituals. This memorable experience will let you see their daily lives and homes and will captivate you every second of your visit. There is an additional cost of US$20 for the visit.

An early start will show you the sunrise with a game drive into the Amboseli, experiencing the dawn chorus and transition from night to morning across the savanna. You’ll then return to your lodge for breakfast.
Following breakfast, it’s time to check out of your accommodation and bid farewell to Amboseli National Park. You’ll be transported back to Nairobi with an early afternoon arrival and the option of a hotel, residence, or airport drop-off depending on your requirements.
