A safari adventure to this cattle ranch turned wildlife sanctuary is as breath taking as it is inspiring. It exists outside of the national park system in Kenya, but is internationally recognized for it’s works in the conservation of some of the most endangered animals in the world.
Ol Pejeta is home to the world’s largest collection of black rhinos, as well as hosting the last two northern white rhinos on the planet. Along with these critically endangered animals, the conservancy provides natural habitat for the big five of African safari:

A wonderfully unique feature of Ol Pejeta is the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The only chimpanzees in Kenya are looked after here, providing shelter and rehabilitation to these rare animals.
Centering your safari experience at Ol Pejeta is a wonderful experience that will give you a fresh perspective on Kenyan wildlife and international conservation efforts. Situated on a plateau, the climate can get rather fresh so you’re advised to pack warm clothes. Your tour is private and booked only for you and your party; you will have the full care and attention of your Kenyan safari guide for the duration of your trip.

You can choose your pick up location in Nairobi and we will make an early start, progressing north through the countryside of Kenya. The landscape is filled with the freshness of the tea and coffee estates that line the roads to the wildlife sanctuary that will be hosting your stay.
Upon arrival at your chosen accommodation, you will be served lunch and then be afforded the privilege of visiting the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The safe haven for our closest cousins was established by the famed naturalist Jane Goodall in 1993. The work of the sanctuary is to provide a home for chimpanzees who have spent their lives in captivity, and you can learn about their work and the journey of the animals on your visit.
Following your truly magical afternoon with the chimpanzees, you will return to your accommodation where dinner will be served. On the first day of your Kenyan safari, included is:

These spacious tents combine the traditional ambiance of a safari camp with the comforts of home. They offer either a king bed or two twin beds and views of the water hole; amenities include a bathroom with a one-hand washbasin, a WC and a shower with a shower curtain.
Boasting views of Mount Kenya, the new Morani Wing features 17 deluxe double, twin and triple tents, one of which is specially adapted for guests with mobility concerns. Bathrooms include a two-hand washbasin, a WC and a shower with a glass door.
Following breakfast, you will start your first safari game drive through the wildlife park. Your expert African safari guide will help you to spot and identify to myriad animals you will encounter. The chances of seeing the animals of your dreams are high: Ol Pejeta has the highest density of wild animals per square kilometre out of any parks across Kenya.
Lunch will be served and you will return to the park for a second game drive, ready to spend the day surrounded by nature. A visit to the watering hole will afford you opportunity to view mega fauna in their natural habitat: feeding, bathing, and playing with their young.
Your second evening on the Laikipia plain, inside Ol Pejeta will see you return to your accommodation for you to take your evening meal and digest the wonderful sights from your Kenyan safari so far. Included in the second day of your African safari is:

The day will begin with an early morning game drive through Ol Pejeta. Break of day is an enchanting time out on the plains of the plateau. You’ll see a hive of activity as the animals take the coolest time of the day to hunt, graze, and play with their young.
After breakfast you will be taken back through the Kenyan countryside and arrive back in Nairobi. There will be a stop for lunch on the way and you can select your city drop off; your hotel, residence, or the airport, depending on your onwards plans.
