Itinerary

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

(320 km, 5 to 6 hours)

On safari, you need to start the day early to make sure that you get the most from your time in Kenya. Therefore, we will collect you at 7.30am from your hotel, residence, or the airport in Nairobi and set off north towards the Central Kenyan Highlands. Your journey will show you farmlands and normal life in the country, with Mount Kenya creeping into view along the way.

You will be taken direct to your chosen accommodation with the national reserve and served lunch. Take time to relax and settle in, explore the place you’re staying and drink in the views that are afforded from every window.

Late afternoon you will head out in your specially adapted safari vehicle, ready to find the animals of the plains. As the sun beings to sink towards the horizon, animals begin to get playful, predators make their play for their prey, and grazers laze about in the cooling air; is there a better first experience of Kenyan safari? After your thrilling introduction to safari you will return to your camp or lodge for dinner and rest. The first day of your African safari includes:

  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
