After breakfast, we will depart for Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which some of the earliest human fossils were discovered.
Serengeti National Park has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. It is one of the world’s greatest wildlife refuges, containing an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The park covers an area of 14,763 sq km. The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word ‘siringet’, meaning endless plains.
You will arrive at this magical park in time for lunch, after which we will go on the afternoon game drive, in search of the different species this park has to offer.

Acacia Central Camp, as the name suggests, is situated in the central part of Serengeti which is fondly called Seronera. This is a very scenic area with open plains and lined up with hills. The resident game here is phenomenal, with high densities of relaxed leopards, cheetah, and lion.
A mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience.
Gain access to one of the most idyllic spots in Central Serengeti: Tanner Springs Just about 23 kilometers from Seronera Airstrip, this secluded area offers uninterrupted, jaw-dropping views of the Serengeti plains and an impressive concentration of wildlife throughout the year, including a large population of the big cats as well as the Big 5.
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is an award-winning gem of a hotel in one of the most beautiful settings in Tanzania.
The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must-see’ on every safari, regardless of the month of travel.
Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June – November) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard.
After a full day in Serengeti National Park, we will return to our camp or lodge.
(335 kms - 6 to 7 hrs)
The day begins with an early-morning game drive, after which we return to our camp or lodge for a full breakfast at 09:00 am. You will then embark on your long journey back to Arusha, but if your budget allows, you can opt to catch a flight at 11.05 am from Seronera Airstrip to Arusha instead.
