Ruzizi Tented Lodge

With just a select number of canvas tents built from sustainable materials, the lodge delivers a low-impact experience that feels integrated into the surrounding wilderness. Each tent is connected to the central dining area by wooden walkways raised above the forest floor, allowing wildlife to pass freely beneath.

Days begin with dawn game drives as the savannah stirs to life, and evenings are spent gathered around the firepit under a canopy of stars. The lodge’s design is simple yet considered, with private decks overlooking the lake where pods of hippos grunt and fish eagles call from the trees.
