One of the lesser visited parks, Meru is utterly unspoilt in its beauty. This stunning park doesn’t have the name recognition of some of the other famous locations in Kenya but it still plays host to the big five of African safari:
Plus many other animals, as well as over 420 species of birds.
The landscape of Meru is grasslands with riverine forests surrounding the Tana River which is teeming with beasts such as hippos and crocodiles. Here, your safari experience will be relaxing and engaging, with an interesting history attached to the park.
Only recently taken on as a national park, there has been lots of work by the Kenyan Wildlife Service to stamp out poaching and rehabilitate the park. As testament to their works, Elsa the Lioness of Born Free fame, was raised and eventually buried here.
Your African safari to Meru will be an unforgettable experience. Your booking with us is a private tour, meaning your vehicle and guide will be dedicated solely to your safari needs. Because your itinerary is personal you can choose to add a stop at Ol Pejeta Conservancy at the beginning or end of your trip, contact us to confirm the additional costs involved.
