Ol Pejeta is home to the world’s largest collection of black rhinos, as well as hosting the last two northern white rhinos on the planet. Along with these critically endangered animals, the conservancy provides natural habitat for the big five of African safari:

  • Lions
  • Buffalo
  • Leopards
  • Rhinos
  • Elephants

Ensuring that your Kenyan safari experience will be filled with the animals that you’re waiting to discover.

A wonderfully unique feature of Ol Pejeta is the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The only chimpanzees in Kenya are looked after here, providing shelter and rehabilitation to these rare animals.

Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Concervancy (204 km – 3 to 4 hours)

You can choose your pick up location in Nairobi and we will make an early start, progressing north through the countryside of Kenya. The landscape is filled with the freshness of the tea and coffee estates that line the roads to the wildlife sanctuary that will be hosting your stay.

Upon arrival at your chosen accommodation, you will be served lunch and then be afforded the privilege of visiting the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The safe haven for our closest cousins was established by the famed naturalist Jane Goodall in 1993. The work of the sanctuary is to provide a home for chimpanzees who have spent their lives in captivity, and you can learn about their work and the journey of the animals on your visit.

Following your truly magical afternoon with the chimpanzees, you will return to your accommodation where dinner will be served. On the first day of your Kenyan safari, included is:

  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
  • Overnight stay inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy
  • Lunch and dinner, no breakfast
  • Drinking water, other drinks are extra

Day 2 Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Following breakfast, you will start your first safari game drive through the wildlife park. Your expert African safari guide will help you to spot and identify to myriad animals you will encounter. The chances of seeing the animals of your dreams are high: Ol Pejeta has the highest density of wild animals per square kilometre out of any parks across Kenya.

Lunch will be served and you will return to the park for a second game drive, ready to spend the day surrounded by nature. A visit to the watering hole will afford you opportunity to view mega fauna in their natural habitat: feeding, bathing, and playing with their young.

Your second evening on the Laikipia plain, inside Ol Pejeta will see you return to your accommodation for you to take your evening meal and digest the wonderful sights from your Kenyan safari so far. Included in the second day of your African safari is:

  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
