Day 1 Nairobi – Masai Mara (265 kms – 5 to 6 hrs)
At 07:30 am, you will be picked up from your Hotel in Nairobi by the driver/guide and after a short briefing, drive to Masai Mara. You arrive in time for lunch at your Lodge followed by an afternoon game drive until evening.
The Masai Mara National Reserve, now the New 7th wonder of the world and 4th most preferred tourist destination is home to wildlife in such abundance and variety you can imagine, and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino.
Day 2 Full Day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve
Whole day spent at the Masai Mara with game drives. Explore the vast tree studded reserve in search of lions, elephants, Giraffe, cheetah, buffalo, Antelopes, Zebra etc. Wildlife in the Masai Mara is found in prolific numbers and the game reserve has highest wildlife concentration per square kilometer.
Day 3 Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park(300 km – 5 – 6 hrs)
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru with game drive en route. Picnic lunch will be served. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru early in the evening in time for dinner. Accommodation will be at Flamingo Hill Camp.
Lake Nakuru is a renowned paradise for Bird Watchers with its high population of birds, the most famous being the thousands of flamingos which form a very beautiful deep pink coloration around the edges of the lake shore. Apart from these flamingos, there are also over 400 species of birds visiting the lake. Animals can also be sighted in the park including the Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and several other species of plains game.
On this 4th day, after breakfast, depart for a game-drive enroute Samburu National Reserve. You arrive at Sarova Shaba in time for lunch and can spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing. There will be an evening game drive in the afternoon. Return to the lodge and freshen up for dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.
Day 5 Samburu National Reserve Full Day
After breakfast, we leave for a full morning game drive. Animals commonly seen are elephants, lions, cheetahs, Gravy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, Gerenuks, buffaloes, Onyx, gazelles, Dik-dik and water bucks. We return to the lodge for lunch followed by swimming games and relaxation. In the afternoon, we leave for an evening game drive until sunset then return to the lodge to freshen up for dinner and overnight stay. Meals Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Sarova Shaba.
On the 6th day of your Kenya Holiday Safari, we travel to the exotic Sweetwaters Tented Camp in the secluded heart of Ol Pejeta Ranch and Rhino Reserve. Here, these magnificent beasts are given sanctuary from those who would take their lives to sell their horns. The Jane Goodall Institute operates a remarkable Chimpanzee Sanctuary where we meet the primates face to- face and our camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers elephant, giraffe and myriad plains game. This is Africa as Teddy Roosevelt saw it years ago when he led one of the first safaris to tour Africa in comfort and splendor; our tents at Sweetwaters Camp will remind us of this bygone era. Overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 7 Olpejeta Conservancy Full Day
We will have two extensive game drives exploring the exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary. As our camp overlooks one of the best waterhole’s in the area, this will give us a good view of the wild life such as elephants, giraffes and myriad plains game among others.
Sweetwaters boasts of excellent game viewing experience with the highest ratio of game to area among any other parks or reserves in Kenya.
Breakfast following a morning game drive is a perfect way to cap off your visit to the Olpejeta Conservancy; depart for Nairobi with lunch and souvenir shopping along the way. Upon arrival dropped of at your hotel or the airport for your flight back home. This caps off your Kenya Holiday Safari.
