Day 1 Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve by Plane
To begin your safari adventure, we will collect you from your hotel or residence in Nairobi, or from the international airport if your arrival coincides with the rest of the schedule. The first stop is Wilson airport, where you’ll take a scheduled domestic flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will have chance to see the landscape of Kenya from above and begin to get a feel for the experience that lies ahead.
From the airstrip, you will be collected by your expert Kenyan safari guide and driven through the park to the accommodation that you’ve chosen. This will be your first, quick chance to catch a glance of the wildlife of the Masai Mara, whetting your appetite for the coming days. You’ll be served lunch upon your arrival and given time to relax, take advantage of optional extras at your accommodation, and acclimatise to your environment.
As the sun begins to lower in the sky, you will be taken on your first game drive. You will venture into the Masai Mara and be on the look out for the famous animals that call this place home, from the big five of African safari, to
And plenty more. Watch the sun burst into hundreds of shades of red and orange as it begins to hit the horizon before heading back to your camp or lodge.
Returning to your accommodation, you’ll be served your dinner and have time to rest and check out the views you’ll have over the plains with only the moon and stars for light. The first day of your honeymoon safari in Kenya includes:
Day 2 Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
There are few things more romantic than a hot air balloon ride at dawn over the Masai Mara. This is a perfect way to start the first day of your honeymoon safari in Africa and will ensure a thrilling start to the morning, including a champagne breakfast in the wilderness. This is an optional extra activity that has an additional fee of $425.
You can also opt for an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at your accommodation. The rest of the day is filled with exploration and wonder as you embark on a morning and afternoon game drive with lunch served at your camp or lodge in the middle of your day.
Ably assisted by your expert Kenyan safari guide, you will be able to track, spot and identify the stunning creatures that you come across in the acacia dotted grasslands. The afternoon brings you a further optional experience: being invited to visit a village of the Masai people. They have lived in a symbiotic relationship with the land and animals of the plains of Kenya for generations uncountable and they invite you to be greeted with traditional song and dance, give you a chance to visit their village and see one of their homes so you can learn about their life, history, and culture. This trip comes with an additional cost of $25 per person.
Dinner is served back at your chosen accommodation, as you take chance to rest up, ready for another day ranging across the plains. The second day of your African safari includes:
Day 3 Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Rise early and head out before the sun peeks above the horizon on an early morning game drive. The transition from darkness to daytime over the plains of the Masai Mara is an intriguing time, with nocturnal animals returning to their dens and diurnal creatures emerging to begin their day. The dawn chorus that breaks the silence of the morning is a natural wonder that must be witnessed.
After your brilliant morning experience, you will return for breakfast at your lodge or camp and take the rest of the morning at your own pace. Whether you afford yourself of the optional extras offered at the spa in your accommodation, or choose to sit and watch the life of the plains pass you by from the observation decks, your morning will be spent in serenity.
Head back out into the Masai Mara in the afternoon and explore different areas of the park with your guide. You have great chances of seeing the animals of your dreams across the vast grasses, and hopefully will discover new animals that you can take home in your memories too. After sunset over the plains, you will take dinner at your camp or lodge, put your swimsuit at the top of your bag, and ready yourself for the beach.
Day three of your honeymoon safari in Kenya includes:
Day 4 Masai Mara National Reserve to Diani by Plane
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your camp or lodge, with vistas sprawling across the Masai Mara from the dining room. Take time to drink in the atmosphere that surrounds you in your parkland accommodation and avail yourself of the facilities one last time before your departure.
After lunch, you’ll move to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ukunda, heading east towards the coast. We’ll transfer you from the airport near Mombasa to your selected hotel in the stunning resort of Diani. Here, you can drink in the fresh ocean breeze and play in the Indian Ocean to your heart’s content.
Once at your accommodation, your time and itinerary are your own. This evening you will be served dinner and have chance to explore the local area and take in the stars with a beach walk or get some rest after your busy days in the Masai Mara. Included in the fourth day of your honeymoon safari is:
Day 5 Full Day in Diani
Who needs a timetable when you’re at the beach? Your honeymoon time in Diani is yours to plan hoe you please. There will be spa treatments and massages at your hotel or resort, as well as water sports, adventure activities, and excursions to suit the most relaxed or active travellers.
When you book with us, your accommodation is on a full board basis, so you will be provided with three meals per day during your time in Diani. You can seek our advice on the activities available in the area and then book any experiences you choose locally.

Day 6 Full Day in Diani
You might choose your second day on the coast to be a contrast to your first, switching between activities and relaxation, or you might choose more of the same. Whichever way you choose to spend this day in the quaint beach town, you’re sure to find peace and romance on your honeymoon trip.
Included in the penultimate day of your honeymoon safari experience is:
