Day 1 Nairobi – Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve (265 km – 5 to 6 hours)
After being collected from your Nairobi accommodation, you’ll journey through the Great African Rift Valley to make your way to the Masai Mara. During the trip you will have ample opportunity to take in this ancient landscape with photography stops at scenic locations a possibility.
A lunch stop on the way to the Masai Mara is included, with traditional Kenyan fayre on offer. Arriving at Masai Mara Game Reserve takes you into the wilds of the Serengeti for the first time, and you will go to your accommodation to settle in.
Your afternoon is spent in this great wilderness, with a game drive through the Masai Mara affording you sightings of the animals this part of the world is famous for. Along with the big five of African safari, the Masai Mara presents sightings of Masai giraffe, zebra, Tomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, impalas and so many more. Your expert guide will be able to help you track and identify these magnificent beasts.

Day 2 Masai Mara Game Reserve – Drive to Nairobi (265 km – 5 to 6 hours)
An early start, with tea, coffee, or hot chocolate to rouse and ready you, is followed by another game drive. The African safari you have dreamed of is again presented. Sweeping scenery, rolling hills, acacia trees, all punctuated by the animals of the Masai Mara as they start a fresh day on the plains.
Hot air balloon is a perfect way to fully understand the extent of the landscape as well as a great way to see vast swathes of animals as they move through their habitat. Taking a balloon safari is an optional extra at a cost of $425 per person, for many it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the Masai Mara like few have.
Allow yourself a visit to a Masai village; home to warriors of the plains who have a legendary relationship with the animals. Greeted with a traditional song and dance, followed by time to explore the village, you can learn of their culture and understand some of their ancient heritage, this is a chance not to be missed. An extra fee of $20 per person is charged for this truly unique experience.
Before your return to Nairobi, breakfast will be served at your accommodation, sustenance for the drive through gorgeous African countryside once again. Upon your return, you can choose for a hotel, residence, or airport drop-off, depending on your onward plans
