100 years ago the Lake Manyara region was the domain of sport hunters. After World War II that began to change and in 1957 a reserve was created here to protect local wildlife instead of hunting it down. That reserve became Lake Manyara National Park in 1960 and today it is one of the jewels of Tanzania.
On our Lake Manyara Safari Tours, you will explore this untamed landscape and mingle with its inhabitants including elephants, gazelles, impala, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, hyenas and many more.
