The 2-Day Amboseli Fly-In Safari is a quick escape from Nairobi into one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The safari begins and ends in Nairobi, with pickup from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, as well as all transfers to and from Wilson Airport included. A short scheduled flight transports you directly to Amboseli National Park, letting you spend less time traveling and more time exploring the park’s remarkable landscapes and wildlife.
Set beneath the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, including some of Africa’s most impressive tuskers. Alongside elephants, you can expect opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and a wide variety of birdlife. The park’s open plains and seasonal wetlands create excellent wildlife viewing conditions, while Kilimanjaro provides one of the most spectacular backdrops on any African safari.
While two days is a relatively short escape, the efficiency of flying means every moment can be dedicated to experiencing Amboseli with optional extras, whether that is tracking predators on a guided nature walk, drifting above the plains in a hot air balloon, or gaining insight into Maasai traditions that have shaped this remarkable landscape for generations.
Your safari package includes return flights between Nairobi and Amboseli, accommodation, park fees, game drives, meals as specified in the itinerary, unlimited drinking water, emergency Flying Doctors cover, and the services of a professional English-speaking safari guide. Throughout your stay, you’ll explore the park in a private 4×4 Safari Land Cruiser. Accommodation options range from comfortable mid-range lodges to luxury safari properties, making sure that your stay suits both your travel style and budget.
You can watch the sunrise over the plains of Africa in the Balloon Safari.
You have an opportunity to watch unique birds here.
Visit Masai village to meet the welcoming traditions of Masai people.
Walking Safari gives you the opportunity to move at the pace of nature.

Your Africa Flash McTours guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning. They will then accompany you to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. There, you will catch a scheduled direct flight to Amboseli National Park. Look out for Mt Kilimanjaro as the aircraft descends before touching down on the airstrip. A vehicle will be standing by to transport you to your appointed lodge and accommodation for the evening. En route, there is every chance that you will spot your first species of wildlife. Once at the camp, you will be shown to your room before enjoying lunch overlooking the wild landscape. After a midday siesta, you will depart on an afternoon game drive.
Forming part of a greater ecosystem that straddles the nearby Kenya-Tanzania border, Amboseli National Park covers 392 square kilometres (151 sq. mi). Amboseli has the highest density of African elephants in the country, among them mature bulls with impressively large tusks. Elephants are incredibly intelligent creatures which live in complex social groups. Communicating by rumbles, trumpets and inaudible vibrations, their ability to shape their environment is second only to man.
As the sun dips towards the horizon, you’ll return to camp in time for dinner. Then, as you slip into bed, drift off to the sounds of the African night.
We have multiple amount of accommodations, which fits any type of budget

Praro Amboseli Camp is a contemporary tented experience framed by one of Africa’s most recognizable backdrops, Mount Kilimanjaro rising beyond open plains. Amboseli is renowned for its vast elephant herds and dramatic photographic landscapes.
Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge was created for adventurers with an African dream. With Mount Kilimanjaro soaring majestically just beyond the golden, acacia-specked savannah, the safari lodge offers a graceful blend of stark beauty and lavish comfort.

The lodge is located on a private conservancy of 3, 000 acres just five minutes from Kimana Gate, along the eastern boundary of Amboseli National Park. The lodge is an eco-friendly operation, set overlooking a waterhole, with fantastic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Tortilis Camp has a prime location for witnessing the majesty of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. The camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and embraces a hill in one of Amboseli’s areas of Acacia Tortilis woodland.

We encourage you to wake up early to enjoy the spectacle of an African sunrise. Reinvigorated by a sumptuous breakfast, it is then time to head off on your final Amboseli game drive. In the cool early hours, you may be fortunate to find a pride of lions feasting on their latest kill. If you’re keen on birds, your guide might take you to Enkongo Narok Swamp, home to hundreds of flamingos and a variety of waterfowl. In all, over 350 species of birds have been recorded here.
With towering Mount Kilimanjaro forming the quintessential Amboseli backdrop, the landscape is always interesting, with plenty to offer photographers. Iconic images of swimming elephants, browsing giraffes, yawning lions, and fleet-footed antelopes will soon fill both your soul and your memory cards.
All too soon, though, it is time to leave Amboseli for your journey back to Nairobi. Once again, you’ll board a direct flight that takes roughly 40 minutes. On arrival, it is time for us to say our farewells. As a proudly Kenyan company, we do hope that our service has exceeded your expectations, and – more importantly – got you thinking about your next visit. Africa Flash McTours serves a wide variety of destinations across East Africa, and we would love to share them with you.

Flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Amboseli typically take between 40 and 50 minutes. Flying is by far the quickest way to reach the park.
Most scheduled safari flights arrive at Amboseli Airstrip, which is conveniently located within the national park. Depending on your chosen lodge, a representative will meet you upon arrival and transfer you directly to your accommodation or begin your first game drive.
Yes. A 2-day fly-in safari provides enough time to experience Amboseli’s highlights, including its famous elephant herds, open plains, seasonal wetlands, and views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Flying allows you to spend more time exploring the park and less time traveling.
Amboseli is a year-round safari destination, but the dry seasons from June to October and January to February generally bring the best wildlife viewing. During these months, animals gather around water sources, vegetation is less dense, and Kilimanjaro is often more visible.
Yes. Amboseli is renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The best views are usually early in the morning or late in the afternoon before cloud cover develops around the summit. While visibility can never be guaranteed, seeing elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro is one of Kenya’s most iconic safari experiences.
Most safari flights allow a maximum baggage allowance of 15kg (33lbs) per person, including hand luggage. Soft-sided bags are required, as they are easier to load into the aircraft’s luggage compartment than hard-shell suitcases.
Yes. Amboseli is a fantastic destination for families, and the short flight from Nairobi makes it particularly appealing for those traveling with children. Many lodges offer family-friendly accommodation and activities suitable for younger guests.
No. Amboseli National Park is not known for rhino populations, and rhino sightings are not part of the safari experience here. The park is instead famous for its elephants, along with lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and abundant birdlife. Travelers specifically interested in seeing rhinos may wish to combine Amboseli with destinations such as Ol Pejeta Conservancy or Lake Nakuru National Park.
Absolutely. Amboseli combines exceptionally well with both the Masai Mara and Kenya’s coastline. Many travelers pair Amboseli with the Mara to experience two very different safari landscapes, while others combine a safari with a beach stay in Mombasa, Diani Beach, Watamu, or Malindi for a classic bush-and-beach vacation.
