The 3-Day Amboseli Fly-In Safari is an incredible experience in one of Kenya’s most recognizable national parks. Beginning and ending in Nairobi, the safari includes pickup from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, as well as all transfers to and from Wilson Airport. A scheduled flight takes you directly to Amboseli, letting you trade a lengthy road journey for more time exploring the park’s wildlife-rich plains, wetlands, and acacia woodlands.
Amboseli is best known for its large elephant herds and extraordinary views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which rises across the border in neighboring Tanzania. Over three days, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different areas of the park on guided game drives, searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and a variety of birdlife. The additional night compared to shorter itineraries brings a more relaxed pace and greater flexibility when it comes to wildlife viewing and photography.
While game drives remain at the heart of the experience, the flexibility of a fly-in safari also allows you to enrich your stay with optional experiences such as guided bush walks, visits to local Maasai communities, and sunrise balloon flights over the reserve.
The safari package includes return flights between Nairobi and Amboseli, accommodation, park fees, game drives, meals as outlined in the itinerary, unlimited drinking water, emergency Flying Doctors cover, and the services of a professional English-speaking safari guide. Throughout your stay, you’ll travel in a private 4×4 Safari Land Cruiser, while a selection of mid-range and luxury lodges lets you choose the level of comfort that best suits your travel style.
You can watch the sunrise over the plains of Africa in the Balloon Safari.
You have an opportunity to watch unique birds here.
Visit Masai village to meet the welcoming traditions of Masai people.
Walking Safari gives you the opportunity to move at the pace of nature.

Your personal Africa Flash McTours guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning. Once acquainted, you will be escorted to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport in time for a direct flight to Amboseli National Park. After roughly 40 minutes, you’ll descend alongside Mt Kilimanjaro, touching down at an airstrip within the national park. A vehicle awaits to transport you to your appointed lodgings for the next two nights. There is an excellent chance that you will see wildlife en route to your camp. On arrival, you will be shown your accommodation, after which lunch is served.
Amboseli National Park covers 392 square kilometres (151 sq. mi) and forms part of a greater ecosystem that extends across the nearby Kenya-Tanzania border. Boasting some impressive ‘tuskers’ (elephant bulls with unusually large tusks), the park is home to three members of the Big 5, with rhinos absent and leopards only seen on rare occasions. The park has a good population of large predators. Lions and spotted hyenas are frequently seen throughout, while cheetahs are normally seen in the park’s open grasslands. General game species are well represented. Among them, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and warthogs are common, interspersed with various antelope species.
You’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner and a comfortable night’s rest.

Generally speaking, wildlife is most active when it is relatively cool. Accordingly, you will wake up at dawn and set off on a full-day game drive after breakfast. Your guide is well-versed in the ways of the African bush. While looking for wildlife, he may stop to point out various plants that are still used in traditional medicine. Or, he might pause to show you how to identify the tracks of various species of game. In the process, you’ll get to appreciate Nature’s complexity and that there is so much more to game viewing than the Big 5.
However, for many, the chance to see these species, especially lions, is in high demand. Our guides are in radio contact with other game drives, and information about sightings is shared. As such, should lions or other interesting sightings be reported, they will do their best to let you share the excitement firsthand.
At lunchtime, your guide will stop at a scenic picnic spot where you can enjoy some food while stretching your legs.
Returning to your vehicle, you might be interested to learn more about the park’s birdlife. For a relatively small park, Amboseli boasts an excellent variety of birds (about 500), each inhabiting their preferred habitats. In particular, the Enkongo Narok Swamp is frequented by impressive flocks of greater and lesser flamingos.
As dusk approaches, you’ll return to camp for dinner and bed.

(45 minutes Flight)
Rising early once again, breakfast will be served before you depart on the final game drive of your visit. This is a great opportunity to see if you can capture a few iconic images of your stay in Amboseli. Most sought after is a picture of a herd of elephants ambling through the grass with the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Or, keep a lookout for a giraffe browsing from a flat-topped acacia tree, against the warm light of the rising sun.
All too soon, your time at Amboseli will come to an end. Invigorated by all you’ve seen, you’ll board your return flight to Nairobi. Once there, it’s time for you to bid farewell to your Africa Flash McTours guide and head on to your next destination. We hope that, having tasted the magic of Africa’s wildlife, scenery and people, it won’t be long before we see you again.

Amboseli has rewarding wildlife viewing throughout the year, but the dry seasons from June to October and January to February are generally considered the best times to visit. During these months, animals gather around water sources, vegetation is less dense, and wildlife is easier to spot.

While visibility can never be guaranteed, Kilimanjaro provides one of the most iconic backdrops in African safari photography.
